I got this question on my blog and I think it's quite fascinating. I'd welcome some feedback though I don't know if this is the best forum for it.

I feel that most computer games are a bit stimmy and that kids who play them intensely for a little while take ages to wind down. I'm not sure if they exhibit stimming behaviours, nail biting, shirt chewing, repetitive noises etc as a result though.

My aspie kid actually never gets addicted to computer games - unlike his NT brother! (If I let his brother play too long, he goes into a foul mood and we have a scene of some kind.)

Other stimming activities (counting ect.) seem to increase when he is more stressed - he stops when he is relaxed.

in our case, certain activities do increase agitation & stress levels....the computer, video games, sometimes tv & movies. always hard to get son in calm state.

I'm not a parent, but...

When I play computer games, I tend to do alot more stimming, especially rocking. Playing the computer and listening to music on my computer both make me stim more.
