I tripped playing handball (with a netball) with my cousins, on a bit of uneven pavement and bent my leg inwards, thus spraining my ankles. I'm glad it wasn't broken because it's almost summer and I've already been through the hassle and smells of wearing casts in the sweaty heat. Now I have to hobble around in a bandage until it heals. It hurts to walk on it. I feel like James Caan in Misery after Kathy Bates applies the sledgehammer treatment.

It is a piercing pain right through the heel of my foot. Last night I was trying to sleep with it elevated slightly, but it kept rolling to one side for some reason, kind of twisting it more. Today I was stuck inside the house. It took me five minutes to hobble from one end to the other.

My new neighbours have moved in across the street and I've been playing Jimmy Stewart Rear Window type-games in the realm of my imagination.

I've had my share of Spranged Ankles, and they were no fun. They all happened during the days before the Internet was piped into my Parents house. You can imagine how bored I was. Take it easy.

I sprained my finger once. It really hurt a second and stopped.

Because it's so hot and sticky here, the plastic ends of my crutches are acting like suction cups on the linoleum floor, meaning it takes a concerted effort to go to the fridge. Last night, the fridge in fact died and knocked the power out. I was watching a DVD and then it was total darkness and I hobbled around blindly bumping into thing, looking for a torch before being able to check the fusebox.

I always hurt my upperbody, like the time I broke my collarbone and played the rest of the game

Really? I did that once too, though it was only minesweepers on the computer.

Crutches are really evil devices, though I feel other leg is getting quite a work out. I'll have one really muscley one and a really deformed one (no difference to usual then)
