i found this odd, now when i go to wrongplanet main page i see the add, alex: if you must put in an ad, can the bottom section (such as under were the forum area is) be used for that purpose, just remove the block ad and put the banner one down at bottom, so if we don't want to see it we can have choice to stay scrolled up

i didn't like it. It seems to have stopped now, but it was really doing my head in trying to read/type/think with that going.
nope, it hasn't stopped, there's some dog one right now while typing /posting. Some ads are alright cos static, but the flashing or moving ones are awful!

It's there sometimes and not there other times. It's kind of annoying, but all adds are. I just scroll down quickly to not look at it.

This was most recent (pre-existing) thread I could find that was similar to my issue.
Please don't yell at me for complaining.
There's an ad that makes me ill-can't even determine what product name/brand it's for, but it has gruesome lungs (image) & asks about asthma inhalers (text). The graphic of the lungs is what I've problem with, and I really wish that single ad could be done away with-it's quite intrusive & aversive. It appears on left side of screen-so I have to move my browser window off-center, and then back to middle (when using "back" browser arrows), repeatedly.

Unrelated (but still "site discussion") note:
Also, haven't (yet) seen thread mentioning the new fact that usernames are now underlined. That really got my attention (am not saying it's bad, just that it'll take time to get used to). Suppose it makes sense in those cases where someone's selected a name that is a symbol or something ? Haven't seen how it affects member names that have an underscore(_). Hmmm.

No, I use Safari. Am inflexible about that & am not computer literate. Know that ads "cycle through" over time (weeks & months), am in big hurry for this one to be gone. Appreciate your not yelling.
