The state of California has a Major problem with *The Mob*; by that I mean Organized Crime. But its NOT the (sicilian)Mafia or the Russian Mafia, its the Mexican Mafia-better known as "La Eme". WHY do Californians, especially those who are more liberal, deny the existence of this crime syndicate? Did it occur to them the many of the gangbangers who terrorize the streets of LA are effectively the shock troops of big-time crime bosses. THAT is the reason why LA is one of Americans Most Violent and corrupt cities. A mayoral candidate in Cudahy ended his campaign beacause of repeated death threats from local thugs who mailed him a bullet with his name engraved.

La Eme are brutal dude. I seen a documentary on them, the Mexican mafia. It's another extremist, racist hispanic hate group/crime organization sort of thing.... Kinda like the "Latin Kings"...

just because i have friends who are mexican doesn't mean i speak spanish and they're pretty honest about things as far as things relating to mexico/cali relations go.

it's normally much more pragmatic and less conspiracy theory than you guys are implying. mexico is impoverished and corrupt and so they come up here to get better work, better treatment, and money to send back to their families.

really, if we wanted to fix the problem, we'd be addressing the mexican government and telling them to fix their problems rather than just building a wall that'll fail pretty quickly. illegal immigration is a symptom of how crappy mexico is, not a conspiracy to retake the land or whatever. though i think a lot of mexicans'd say it is just as a joke because it's pretty stupid when you think about it for a bit. the most i'd say is that they refuse to integrate like most first generation immigrants do or they have problems or they take their culture with them...which the mexican culture is very chauvinistic and also very laissez faire....so no calling the cops and dealing with s**t "like a man". which aren't exactly qualities i like aside from some sides of the laissez faire attitude and their more bacchanal pursuits.

Street gangs almost ALWAYS have ties to prison gangs and it should come as no suprise to you that
"La Eme" formed in prison. But honstly dude, organized crime is Rampant in Mexico and most of Latin America except perhaps in Chile. So surely some of these illegal mexican immigrants are gonna be thugz who set up shop in places like LA.
