Technically a well-maintained medium-long blade is more effective than a blunt, but a blade will lose more effectiveness over time if not maintained. A blunt is only effective if you smash the brain completely, whereas a blade can decapitate with less effort and won't throw you off balance if you miss. This says almost nothing about current supplies or what to do with what you have now, it focuses too much on the fact that you've already survived a month or more.

I have a 42% chance, but its not because I have lots of experience (I'm still just a student), its because I live in Hawaii and I live next to less than 100 people. There are lots more people than that on Hawaii but I live up country and on one of the smaller islands. I have to drive a couple miles just to get to a small store, so I won't have to worry about being swarmed by zombies.
