What are your opinions on this matter?

in return for any withdrawal {from the Golan Heights}, Israel would demand Syria sever its ties with Iran and the Hezbollah group in Lebanon.

Peace is a good thing, especially in that war-torn region...

do you sacrifice a small piece of land to save pieces of bodies? i'd say it's a small concession.

It will be a cold day in hell when Israel gives up the Golan.

If memory serves, Golan Heights is strategically quite important, from a military point of view, and thus its not surprising both sides would like to keep it.

Hehehe .....that's why Hezbollah suddenly stopped going further into their bloody crusade against the "pro-westerners" and withdrew from their opposers' regions and accepted to negotiate with us in Doha ,they knew that their deliverymen's masters are going to sell them quite soon.
Hezbollah will have to pick one of the 2 options:
1-To give up its arms.
2- To make another desperate attempt to control Lebanon and its canals of transportation in order to open flight/sea canals with Iran ==> That means a suicidal civil war and maybe the final end of Hezbollah.

I don't see it happening.

Although Israel did return the much larger Sinai in a peace deal with Egypt, that was a long time ago. The anti-Israel forces arrayed in the north are in a militarily stronger position then the Sadat government was. Cairo is a long way from Israel proper but Damascus and Hezbollah aren't, making the risk greater. There also hasn't been any discussion of diplomatic recognition which of course was part of the Egyptian-Israeli deal.

A return of the Golan to Syria in the near term, especially without full diplomatic recognition, is a sure sign of Israeli weakness.

A piece of land, a land of peace topic

The Golan Heights is very strategic and if that land is going to be traded for peace there sure as heck better be real peace, and not some hypocritic oath crap.

A peace here would have to be gradual and withdrawal would be slow. We would need peacekeepers there, for a long time, to ensure the peace would be kept.

Syria is not Egypt, and we know what that means.
