Since the last round of elections in the US, YouTube has become an increasingly powerful political tool. For example, Senator George Allen of Virginia seemed almost certain to be re-elected by a very huge margin, and would likely have been a candidate for the presidency, but for this little slip-up that appeared on YouTube:

He wound up losing by an extremely thin margin. It was so thin that if the ballots were recounted in Florida, he would have won. That's how thin his margin of victory was.
YouTube seems to be contributing to democracy, by allowing people to post political videos and advertisements for free. Paying for television commercial time is extremely expensive. Here is one on McCain:

It is very witty, and makes the point that McCain is stupid . But, I'm sure that there has to be plenty about Hillary Clinton and Obama. Let's see what else we can find about various candidates. Is this trend starting to pick up outside the US? Or, would people outside the US be more concerned about libel?
