((Yeh, there isn't a section for roleplay yet. Hopefully, there will be soon. Until then, however, I am hijacking this section.))

((Okay so first things first, my rules.))

1.Please use some form of OOC when talking out of character.
2.Be very patient.
3.Standard rp/wp rules.
4.As long as I can understand you, I don't really care about literacy. Use " " for when your character is speaking.
5.Either format is fine, just please include the key details.

Upon a solitarily hill, in a mostly undulating landscape, stands a boarding school for the gifted.
To cope with the students inside, there are several modifications to what seems like a mostly ordinary school at first glance. Flame/flood-proof furniture and all those things.

The place is more or less bereft of bird-song as this is late fall to early winter - halloween is coming up- and the most of the birds have flown to warmer climates for this season.

Many wince as they pass the canteen, the smell of burning drifting to their noses.

((OOC: Did you have anything in mind for this? I'm going to use an old character of mine when he's a youth. Character history will be varied to fit in.))

BIC: Jedediah Victor Sharpe, better known simply by his last name of Sharpe, took the canteen from the girl who was sitting next to him and sniffed. The putrid smell burned at his nostrils and he swallowed hard, trying to convince himself that he was just imagining things. It burned his nose like the concentrated hydrochloric acid had when he was just a kid.

As he passed the canteen to the boy sitting on his other side, he began to wonder why he was here...

((So we're just making it up as we go along... right? How old are these kids supposed to be? By the way you wrote, I imagine late elementary school/early middle school, but perhaps I am mistaken.))

As Sharpe sniffed the canteen a scrawny boy with large, intensely expressive eyes named Robert P Danbury walks over with curiosity. Rob smells the smokey scent of burning and although repulsed by it is also curious due to an interest in fire. He walks over to Sharpe and asks with a somewhat mocking voice "Whatcha sniffin'?" and then stands there with a stupid grin.

Sharpe quirked his eyebrow at the other boy and chose to ignore him. Better not get in a fight, he thought to himself. It would only cause more trouble later on. He began to wonder what he was doing there and why so many other kids were there, too. He didn't recognize any of them at first, but at a second, more careful, glance, they started to look more and more familiar. But he couldn't figure out from where...

As he contemplates this, a slime apears! It looks hungry.
