If dogs are foul creatures, are Muslims commanded to kill them or just avoid them? I mean, you would have to be pretty heartless not to help animal in need.

No, they're just elected. Whether they comment on politics depends on their character.

Just avoid them. We believe every animal has its purpose. However, stray dogs and rabid dogs are put to sleep in an animal shelter in Islamic countries (unsuccessfully in the third world nations) just like as in every western nation.

You know, in my church-going days, whenever I would raise the question of why do some people suffer more than others if God is loving, people would point to the crucifix and say that God did not spare even his son Jesus from suffering. As if this would reassure me! On the contrary! For if God would allow that to be done to his son, presumably the one person he was closest to than any other, then what hope is there for the rest of us that God will not abandon us when the going gets tough? "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?" Ah, the moment of truth, when all delusions fail beneath the reality of the nails and the pain. It just took Jesus longer to come to that point than some of us, who were born crying that cry.

The quote is hardly the same thing as today's in-style, politically-correct "Well, I respect your beliefs, and they are true for you."
Jesus said, throughout his entire ministry, the exact opposite of this modern, lip-service sentiment.
He said 1) that He is the Christ, 2) that He is God, 3) and that there is no way to escape Hell without Him.


BS. If you are going to quote your boring scripture, at least get it into context first. His main 2 parables were 'He who is without sin cast the first stone' and 'Judge ye not lest ye be judged', neither of which you seem to be practising. it's all very well you picking and choosing which rules to follow and what each person should obey, but since when did god abrigate his throne and leave you in charge? Are YOU immortal? You are just another prideful sinner like the rest.
