*shrug* How do you know those accusations aren't false? I seem to remember Jesus having a few false accusations to his name, and you could definitely say he was the subject of some scandal in Roman-occupied Judea. ;) The comparison doesn't seem so bad to me, except of course that Sai Baba has a lot more than twelve disciples.

You state that you do not doubt that some would die for him if they had to, what about the apostles who did die for what they believed?

You've already agreed that many people die for their beliefs, even when the beliefs are unfounded.

The Deity of Christ, which involves The Trinity
the Resurrection, and
Salvation by Grace are the main aspects that are denied by cults. Sai Baba would fit this designation. Also, Christ warned about the many false christs and prophets that would later appear. I submit that the many that are in the world now are the fulfillment of this. Also, the uniqueness of Christianity when compared to all other religions is compelling.

I have previously showed that the Apostles did not have unfounded beliefs, bur rather had eyewitness testimony of not only themselves, but many others to corroborate their story.

Well, I'm afraid we're just not going to agree. It's been fun chatting though. :)

See you around the forums!

I was just going to say that! 8O I am really busy and apologetics is a new area for me, so any mistakes that I made are due to my own failure, not the materials. Peace!

Oh, it's not a matter of making mistakes, it's just that we view the world in such different ways. Unfortunately, in the end it's inevitable that we're going to wind up talking past each other. :)

Good luck with finals (if you have them, and if they're not over yet!) and have a merry Christmas. :D

What do you mean it's over? This was one of my favourite threads to read... sigh. Well, anyways, thanks for keeping it civil and friendly guys. :D

Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night.
