In the history of religion? The religions with more substantial and more ...credible... beliefs, are the ones which have had the most followers throughout history. You could make such an obscure correlation between natural selection and the development of religions, but that's how it's always been, up until now. The most able and most coherent structures tend to survive throughout time, and those which are shaky and incompatible fall. It is simply a pattern of life and time.

Or, if God actually is real, then He may keep at least a remnant of people who acknowledge Him.

Even the most shallow examination of religions reveal how incredible most of them are with their goofy miracles and strange justifications for the most cruel and horrible events. All it indicates is how gullible most people are.

Gracious, but you're so good at amassing stupid and fail, you beggar belief. First, prove that Biblical religions are the only religions on earth--which is what you are presuming. Second, prove that even the adherents of the Abrahamic religions ALL must adhere to the literalism of Evangelical Christians. Of course, since you're just a lunatic bigot, you'll be unable to offer any proofs.

Kindness and charity is just as evident in other species as in humans. It is the result of reacting to biological forces that prove out the the species benefits from these characteristics. Anyone with any sense of either history or current events can easily see that religion is the basis of neither kindness nor consideration but very frequently responsible for the most outrageous callousness and cruelty for insane fantasies by indoctrinated idiots. Religion takes to itself the credit for the basic kindness and compassion found in many people naturally who channel it through religious groups as this is a convenient outlet but it is not the source.
