That does seem to be true. Those of us who want friends the most seem to be the most inept socially, while those of us who don't care as much seem to be more adept with words. A boy with HFA in my grade is terribly lonely and desparately wants friends, but can't read any social cues at all. I am not a popular person, but I don't really have any problems with dislike from peers. I never see the bullies that used to give me problems; I'm in the honors/AP program at my school, and the bullies are just too stupid for it , so I never see them anymore . Unfortunately, they probably just found someone else to pick on

I have to admit that I used to have two life ambitions
1. Never to see "the sound of music"
2. Never too go to the USA

only number one still holds true. I was taken to the US for work and I have to admit it was fantastic. Trouble is you guys really should take a look at yourselves from the outside, cos the image you give is not good.

I want to go America eventualy, I like Australia but just going to that mythic place that I see on my tv would be a good experience. I like to have new experiences, curently by living in Sydney I have seen a lot of different cultures such as Chinese and Muslim.

But I like the Sound of Music!

I think the US has two personalities. The US is clearly xenophobic though. Narcissistic, yes. I think clueless as well. There seems to be a lot of willful ignorance.

If I had to pin down just one diagnosis, it would be delusional. The US is so detached from what's going on in the rest of the world, we must be delusional. For one, we still think we're the good guys across the board.
