Lack of imagination and creative play?! !!

Aylissa-I think I lacked imagination and creative play as a child - I never "played", really. After I taught myself to read at 4 that's all I did.

Wow, I could have written that. I too taught myself to read at 4 and that's all I did. And I too am sincerely surprised when anything creative comes out. My husband thinks I'm creative - I'm a pretty good cook and am resourceful which I guess he calls creativity. But I can't visualize things easily (like someone else wrote) or make up things in my head. No imagination at all. I've been wondering if anybody else is a lifelong bookwork, or if it's just me. I think I'll post a thread on that.
But we're all different, which is cool, that not all aspies have the same exact characteristics.
