Linguistics is a very popular interest for aspies, so I think the current foreign language should be adapted to make discussion of general linguistic topics relevant and maybe to keep foreign language discussion there too. Since it'll now be a Topical Discussion forum, it should be moved there along with Philosophy/Politics/Religion and Computers/Science/Math.

Good proposal, I like it. It'll also help move that forum out of bottom-of-screen obscurity as iamnotaparakeet was wishing.

Yes, I'm for a General Language Forum. Combine the foreign language and linguistic topics.

Bump. The vote is now a unanimous 5 in favor. Not a very popular cause, admittedly, but it does seem to be a good idea.

Grammar, syntax, phonology, linguistic-morphology, vocabularies, dialects, etc.
