By the way I would suggest you try Mayan cocoa spice by "Yogi Tea", add a little milk two packets of splenda yum yum.

Sounds good, but Splenda (sucralose) is every bit as bad as aspartame - you might as well drink diet soda if you're going to be putting two packets of that stuff in your tea!! Have you tried Stevia before? It's a natural sweetener pressed from the leaves of a South American shrub - hundreds of times sweeter than sugar, no calories, has a positive effect on blood sugar so it's good for diabetics... the perfect sweetener.

What makes sucralose bad for you???? I know that using aspartame is basically like ingesting Formaldehyde but what causes sucralose to cause harm??

Ahhh, the whole 'made from sugar so it tastes like sugar' thing? Not really true (the sugar industry are actually in the process of sueing them over that claim it's so far from the truth...! Story: http://www.naturalnews.com/021026.html).

Basically, it starts off with a sugar molecule which is then combined with 3 chlorine molecules, and that's where the sugar part ends. It's mostly chlorine and very toxic.

Have you tried sparkling juices? There are quite a few out there these days, even in mainstream grocery stores. Izze is a good brand. Martinelli's sparkling cider (non-alcoholic) is good too and comes in different flavors.

But what in the body would break the compound down?? From my understanding little to no splenda is actually absorbed by the body.

I've found this, which might be of interest, it has the chemical process needed to make Splenda, according to the patent, and some stuff on the way it's broken down:

I've found some good soda alternatives at our healthfood store.

My favorite thirst quencher is a half soda water, half tonic water with a squeeze of lemon or lime. The tonic water is lightly sweetened, but not as much as regular sodas (you can get it unsweetened, but it costs and arm and a leg); cutting it with soda water reduces the sugar even more. It's probably the most refreshing drink I've ever had.

I don't like pops (soda right?) so I drink herbal tea (peppermint, fennel, dandelion and camomile are my favourites), coffee (which I have to watch), water and fruit juices.

Has anyone ever tried nettle tea? I was looking at it the other day but I can't quite get past the idea that I would be drinking a cup full of stings and bitter weeds.

I Anyway I drink herbal teas, mostly fruit teas, though green tea is also good especially when lemon or orange peel or flavour is included with the ingredients. Peppermint is also nice.

The other day i was in a cafe and they gave me a fruit tea which seemed to be made up of dried fruit pieces and spices in a teabag. That was very nice also.
