For anyone living on the Southeastern or Gulf coast, being (even slightly) prepared for a catastrophe is a simple part of life. Imagining the extremem side of it is something I have always done. I do not spend a lot of time worrying myself over it, but I still think about it...not sure why.

Ouch. That's part of why when my friends talk about moving to places like Florida I really don't get that exited; true, warmer weather, more days of the year when they can take the sportbikes out, surf, do something adrenaline-chasing, but the insurance has to be off the charts.
