I'm new, so I'm filling out the "introduction form" by the_enigma:
First name: Mads
Age: 18
Location: Copenhagen, Denmark, Europe, Eurasia, Earth
Hobbies and Interests: hmm... actually quite a difficult question.. I spend (far too) much of my time on the Internet looking for all kinds of various stuff. I like to help out with different "projects". At this time it's mostly distributed computing, file-sharing and translating Wikipedia which I'm interested in. But basically anywhere I'm "able to help" with an interesting subject (i.e. improve stuff).
I consider myself gifted in the art of making tutorials on how to use PC-stuff.
Why are you here? When combining two of my abovementioned interests I stumbled upon the Wikipedia article about Bram Cohen. It had a link to an interview done by WrongPlanet - and now I'm here
I've been diagnosed with having AS - though apparently a "lite" version (i.e. I still fit into the picture of a "normal" person in many ways, though that does make my "quirks" more apparent).
When were you diagnosed? I'm actually not sure but I believe it was Spring, 2002
Favorite subjects: Computers, etymology, love (things I don't know about fascinate me
)
Year/Grade: 2.g (Danish school-system - probably equal to college of some sort)
Favorite music: (almost) Everything. 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's, pop, rock, country, punk, heavy, classical. To some extent also blues, soul and jazz.
Books: Mostly crime fiction, some fantasy and (of course) the Harry Potter series (reading the Halfblood Prince at the moment)
TV shows/Movies: The Pretender, The Commish, 24 Hours, Phone Booth, Groundhog Day.
Instrument: Playing the guitar
Do you like sports? Nope.
Family: 1 mother, 1 younger brother.
Clothing: Mostly, I don't care. Just as long as it's comfy to wear.
How did you find this website? See "Why are you here"
Job: I'm still studying...
Plans for the future?: Zero. I have absolutely no idea, but hopefully some job which can put my "talents" to good use (maybe some computer-stuff).
I've already been at the chatroom once and met some nice people there, and now I've arrived here as well.
I hope to be able to learn something from this site - or at least find others with the same problems as I have.
One more thing: My real name (as indicated above) is NOT Omboo Hankvald. I have no idea why I chose that nick, but I did.
