I only shave under my arms.
I have used the hair remover lotions on my legs probably since I was 10.

It is getting too expensive to seriously keep parts of my body hair free.

Why are they making disposable razor blades with four and five blades now and charging more money all the time? Two blades do enough. The razors don't last very long and how can they be resharpened. I can't even get all the little bits of hair out that gets stuck in between them.

Even electric razors become dull and the cutting blades and screen wear out and have to be replaced. The older the model of shaver, the more expensive and difficult it becomes to replace the blades and screen.

chemical hair remover is $5 -to $7 for a small bottle that will do me for about one week. I can't afford that.

Making my own sugar wax remover and reusing cloth strips is the cheapest. It just takes hours and it hurts.

I found out that laser hair remover just is not permanent and people have to keep getting treatments because it grows back.

Can disposable razors be resharpened?

They also *Look* much better ohne hair as well  . I wonder if sometime in the future, genetic engineering will completely eliminate body hair on women so all of this hair removal efforts will be unecessary.

am had said am non shaver before, but now am able to say can use them.
am have found a shaver am able to cope with, the blunt disposable ones,am use it to cut head hair,or more officially-to dig into head-am really like the feel of it,it doesnt quite mix with having a complete lack of pain threshold- have cut it up quite badly.

they're a great way to cut hair with, for anyone who likes hair short.

I shave my legs before I go swimming I just feel I move through the water faster than when they are hair covered.

I used to use that Nair hair removal lotion but the smell was too intense.
I shave about once every two or three weeks now. Thank god my fiance doesn't care.

This topic is really interesting. I've always hated the sensation of shaving and the feel of my skin afterwards pretty intensely - my friends always thought it was odd, but it would never have occurred to me that it could be part of something like AS.

I'm blonde so I can get away with being a little lax with my legs, but since I was 14 and started going to a school where skirts were mandatory, I have always used sugaring or now my beloved epilator. I've found that now, over ten years later, most of the body hair that I chose to attack has started giving up, and only about 40% of the follicles actually bother growing back, and those that do are so weak that I can pluck the hairs out with my fingers. The persistence totally pays off!

Ahh, but wait. The companies that manufacture and sell the creams, waxes, and razors, as well as the people who perform hair removal services will fight ferociously to prevent such genetic engineering.

It's a hightly profitable business, and they don't want to give it up. Much like how the oil companies are against "alternative fuels" and stuff like that.

I'm pretty hairless, people usually think I shave my arms and legs but at close inspection they have quite a bit of hair, just not very fine. it's pretty strange cause I'm a dark brounette.

Thankfully my hair is blonde almost everywhere.

I shave my legs once a month or so in the winter, maybe once a week in the summer when I'm wearing shorts. Same thing with pits.

I'd never shave if it were socially acceptable. I got made fun of for not shaving my legs in 5th grade! I started using my sister's razor in the shower and ended up cutting a huge gash in my leg a few weeks later.
