thank you social blindness.
i have no idea how it went.
i don't have any sense of if this guy liked me, is on my side, etc.
everything i tell him can be told to my job.
needless to say i did not tell him anything i wanted to be protected information.
i will rant a little about another thing that happened in members forum.
i hate that this is now a fishbowl due to all the publicity.
it does not feel quite so safe as when i first came here.
i feel sick.

I really, really hope things work out for you.

I know how you feel about hugs, literal and cyber. When I was a kid--and still somewhat today--I used to get upset when people hugged me. Even today, if someone taps me on the shoulder from behind, I feel like jumping out of my skin. So, here is a cyber-cup of herbal tea, a good cyber-book, and space to just "break down and let it all out."

God be between you and harm in all the dark places you must walk.

Integrate.

You'll feel better and be less anxious. I do not like being subdued. You do not like being anxious. We can help each other. Stop drinking caffeine and live!

i am sure i will still have some underlying anxiety but for now i will wait for the dust to settle. i did ok i think.
couldn't find my calms but i think it was beyond that. used some rescue remedy and that seemed to help.
it is good to have lots of work. otherwise i would be a basket case.

anxiety is a new experience for me. In the past I have been oblivious to the things that make most people anxious. What I used to get was sensory overload.

Interesting... do you know what made it switch?

Likely awareness. Having had treatment for the adhd means that I can pay more attention to the things in my environment. So the things that used to get buried in a flood of overtimulation stand out to me more now. For example, I just bought a clock that ticks too loudly. It is grating on my nerves while I try to see if I can get used to it. The flourescent bulb in my hall is making a whining noise. The computer fan is whining too. And I am anxious about the next steps toward suing my employer. I can turn the other things off and I will be left with the anxiety. Before, sensory overload would have kicked in before I knew what it was that was overloading me.

*gets off the computer to turn things off and get ready for work*

That happens to me alot, too. I hate it and I don't know how to prevent it.
