Would anyone know how to describe this armor in words?

I am trying to write up a bio for a character I created and am having trouble putting the description of the armor into words. Any help?

The template I am using is Prince Zuko from Avatar: the Last Airbender.

I'd describe it as leather armor (possibly cuir bouilli, or boiled leather). The arm pieces could either be called bracers or vambraces. Then there are greaves on the lower legs; cuisses for the thighs; a gorget with munions to protect the shoulders and upper arms; and a half-breastplate.

The whole thing is vaguely Oriental in style, but I can't quite place it. The overall style suggests that this could be light armor for a horseman.

Got the info on armor terminology from http://home.messiah.edu/~gdaub/armor/picgloss.htm and http://www.arador.com/construction/index.html.

Thank you very much! I have been trying to break down that armor style for some time now, but you really helped. Thanks for the link too! :D
