I came across her in an autism group and her activism revolves around high functioning Rett Syndrome girls, and therefore she is not an advocate for my Rett Syndrome daughter, in any way shape or form. She is dangerous to my daughter's rights and my rights as her parent. Sola (Asperger Individual)

sola, strange, i noticed an email this morning about that, (i have a feeling it may be you in the group, im a member there (doordoctor2002)and dont post much at all.

it seems that she may be an independent advocate that is just not taught long enough or done much research on how to treat people with retts.

same with autism/aspergers, there are people out there that are "curebies" and some out there that are anti=cure, some are experts in the disorder and some just think differently because of not much experiance with or knowledge about the condition.

great example, i remember being told by a psychologist when i was in high school that aspergers is a mental disorder, in some ways the person is true, but not totally, since there are comorbidities to aspergers that some may think are mental based. but its really a developmental disability falling under same spectrum as autism/pddnos.

seems she may have to have someone help her or she has to do more research on retts before she goes and terrorizes more people with retts or children with it, if she hasn't done so already.

Aw, carrying your personal attacks here! How CUTE!

Read my writing. Absorb. Get over it.

I'm not doing anything to your daughter. I do a lot more general spectrum advocacy than anything for RS specificially, because as far as RS goes I KNOW I AM FREAKING WEIRD. Speech preserved mosaic does that.

Kindly take your personal attacks elsewhere. They're not acceptable social skills. Surely you know that?

ETA: FURTHERMORE, if you have an issue with my diagnosis, take it up with my DNA. It doesn't exist to piss you off. Grow up.
