Hi All,
This student emailed me looking for adults to help give her input for a research paper she is writing. I have talked to her and felt she had her basic understanding of some of our issues. I am participating, myself. (algernon?)
Mark
Dear Mark,
My name is Bianca Love and I am currently a senior in the sociology department at Princeton University and am in the process recruiting individuals for research that will be used in my senior thesis. I found your contact information on the GRASP website, and would like to invite the members of your group to participate in my research. The information about my research as well as my contact information is listed below. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. Additionally, I have included my IRB number in the event that you would like to verify that this study has been approved by Princeton University’s IRB.
*Senior Thesis Research on Experiences of Students with Asperger Syndrome*
*Purpose: *This study aims to focus on the ways in which individuals with Asperger syndrome navigate the transition into the adult world. It has become increasingly apparent that there are a number of issues not addressed by school systems, universities, and the general public on which this research will attempt to shed light. The goal of this research is to use the findings in order to make useful suggestions for change in policy as well as bring attention previously lesser known issues which are problematic.
*
Eligibility Criteria: *
Eligible participants are over the age of 17 and have a diagnosis of Asperger syndrome. *Participation:*
Participation involves two steps:
1) preliminary screening and consent
2) an in-depth interview lasting approximately one hour. The interview can be carried out either in person or over the internet.

Thank you and I appreciate all of your help.
