well, not really sure about this, but I don't think the red X thing is revived, my guess is that it has always been, and is shown only when Alex bans a member not when a mod does it, bare in mind that's just a guess.

Interesting guess. I hope a mod confirms or denies these suspicions, because I've always wondered why some banned members got the special status and red X and some didn't.

So the X means that member was banned by Alex and the rest of the banned members who don't have an X weren't banned by him?
