A few hours ago I began to think of a way to stop government corruption, double the bribe. Government officials should be able to report the bribe, but also get something out of it, hence the name double the bribe, obviously the government wouldn't want to pay for such a scheme as the cost of bribes can be huge, so i came up with the next big idea, have the briber double the bribe, if a government official reports the bribe, with sufficient evidence then they should be able to earn the bribe money(plus a fair bit more) and still have done the right thing.
In other terms
Corporation A bribes a person in the government(person B) 300,000 to help stop a law being passed that would be bad for Corporation A
Person B reports this bribe publicly (or to a section of government that makes it public), normally this is the worst option for person B, they end up with no money, however in this case:
The government forces Corporation A to double the payment to person B as a reward for making public the bribery.
Corporation A has been exposed and Person B gets a reward for reporting the bribe.
Although this may be called "double the bribe" the bribe may be more then double, the Corporation (i'm thinking in tobacco or oil) would have more then enough money to 5x the offer or even 10x .
Now although Person B may be exposed as reporting bribes by Corporation A, he now has a lot more money then he would receive from bribery.
I'm probably skipping over something crucial but i think this is a good idea, can anyone else find anything wrong with it
