I don't know how uni works in the US, but where I live, you have to take care of lots of things: organise your courses and schedule by yourself, you're responsible for timing your working pace and you're pretty much left alone in uncertainity about a lot of things.
For some with ASDs and AD(H)D that's a total no-go.
For some with ASDs and AD(H)D that environment is perfect and vastly non-problematic.
