Homosexuality: What is God's real view?
My Opinion: The Golden Rule Jesus taught was to love one another as you yourself should be loved. He said that was the basis of the 10 commandments, and it should be the guiding force in living them.
Gays don't go against that. Jesus himself said nothing against homosexuality.
A loving God does not send his children to hell, esp. for something hard-wired.
10% of sheep are homosexual, according to a recent study. That's a little more than in humans, but the theory is that it's to keep population down.
Homosexual relationships are no threat to "family values." Those born heterosexual will continue to get married, with their high divorce rate.
My brother is gay and has been with his partner for 8 years. I've known lesbian couples together 20 years or more.
Since they are a partnership based on love, that should be the definition of marriage. They should be entitled to the same insurance benefits as other couples. My poor brother has no insurance, and he could go on his partner's insurance if it were only legal!

yet another proof that the bible was written by a man.
LOL good one ^_^
Anyways the reason their is nothing about lesbians is because those who decided to edit the bible were indeed men. These men were repulsed by men having sex with other men but like many men today they have no problem with two women having sex. Also the bible was against female prostitutes as well, but of course that which sickened those editing the bible got the harshest words.
QFT.
I asked one guy who was into lesbian porn why he was such a homophobe and the only excuse he had is that it was against the bible.
Then I brought up the porn and he got all defensive like there was nothing wrong with it...
It's part of human basic psychology to enjoy looking at the opposite sex if you're straight and the same sex if you're inclined towards homosexuality. That seems perfectly natural to me. What's wrong with it? The bulk of general advertising is based on it.
Hate to/ Actually love to play the Devils but sheep are not Monogamous( need to do some more research. Christianity condones monogamous.
I think the theory is more complicated then keeping the population down. The theory is also compatible with the theory of evolution. Cant explain got to go to work.

As far as I've heard those cultures and religions that are enthusiastic over multiple wives are rather nasty to homosexuals.
A man shall not lie with mankind as with womankind, it is abomination.
Leviticus 11:9-12 says:
9 These shall ye eat of all that are in the waters: whatsoever hath fins and scales in the waters, in the seas, and in the rivers, them shall ye eat.
10 And all that have not fins and scales in the seas, and in the rivers, of all that move in the waters, and of any living thing which is in the waters, they shall be an abomination unto you:
11 They shall be even an abomination unto you; ye shall not eat of their flesh, but ye shall have their carcases in abomination.
12 Whatsoever hath no fins nor scales in the waters, that shall be an abomination unto you.
Deuteronomy 14:9-10 says:
9 These ye shall eat of all that are in the waters: all that have fins and scales shall ye eat:
10 And whatsoever hath not fins and scales ye may not eat; it is unclean unto you.
No shrimp for you!

To answer your question you need to ask.
* What are the survival advantages for the individual or the collective for being gay.
* What are the survival advantages of persecuting gay pay people.
I don't want to hear that there is non.

I think I heard somewhere that in women the gene that makes a man gay correlated to increased children so while in pure evolutionary terms the homosexual gene is "bad" for the man: they're less likely to have babies, it survives through women. Bear in mind this is a memory of a source who's name escapes me and therefore can't say if its any good.
Another possible theory (again I can't remember where I heard this) comes from Mandarin monkeys (I think anyway, definitely some form of primate) where homosexuality helped bond the non-alpha males, and also kept them from fighting the Alpha male for the women. I'm not sure if that was supposed to be applicable to humans (I suspect not) but food for thought.
And while your two questions are good, I think its probably not a good idea to assume they have to have an answer, most genes survive because they confer some advantage either to the individual or the group, some do just get lucky, or survive as leftovers that are no longer needed but nothing is removing them from the gene pool, especially since we came up with medicine and other ways to overrule natural selection.
If he exists panic, if he dosn't nothing to worry about. Given he's been rather quiet on the fire and brimstone front for a long time I rather suspect he dosn't.
EVERY homophobe you will ever meet falls into one of four catagories:
1. Religious dogmatics,
2. Dumbass rednecks,
3. Uneducated ghetto thugs,
4. Closet gays.
Homophobia is just as bad as racism and sexism. Too bad some people can't realize that. BTW I'm a straight male.

I am completely honest and serious here... God's supposed ban on homosexuality is nothing more than the words some bigoted savages called Israelites wrote down. Call me, if you would, a Christian who doesn't believe in God, Jesus, or anything in the Bible. I am Christian in that the better and realistic parts of Christianity have rubbed off on me thanks to my family and society -- i.e. Those so-called Christian values which really have only existed for the better of 150 years.
However, I definitely am not Christian in that I don't let a book with infinite ways to interpret it (Slavery and Nazis were justified by Biblical interpretation) written by unintelligent savages 3,200-1,900 years ago and assembled by upper-class powerhungry bishops 1,700 years ago dictate what I think about the world in the present day.

You see, it's so much easier to ignore that part about unlean foods when you like those foods.
Pick and choose, baby, pick and choose. Gawd I love religion... so f*****g hilarious.

The Christians retaliate with that the Bible spoke out against this because of the health issues that is associated with shellfish, but I'm interested how they can say that since the Bible is silent on that subject. Maybe god didn't want fishermen to exploit the shellfish population into extinction, which is what is starting to happen now.

The Bible was equally silent on the health effects of eating pork.
Maybe God did not want mankind to exploit to the porcine mammalia unto extinction.

This is actually a good question, but I suspect you are barking up the wrong tree thinking of individuals. See, modern evolutionary theorist have moved beyond the basic survival of the 'fittest'. After all we know that some species were so successful they nearly eradicated themselves and all of life in fact. Whilst we are competing with each other, we also live together and rely on one another to survive also. Humans especially rely on different skills of different people to survive. Over population can also threaten survival.
Oddly enough, the only point I can see cannibalism mentioned is in the Gospels.
Matthew 26:26-28 -
"While they were eating, Jesus took bread, gave thanks, and broke it, and gave it to his disciples saying, 'Take it and eat; this is my body.' Then he took the cup, gave thanks and offered it to them, saying, 'Drink from it, all of you. This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.'"
Mark 14:22 -
"While they were eating, Jesus took bread, gave thanks, and broke it, and gave it to his disciples, saying, 'Take it; this is my body.'"
Luke 22:19-20 -
"And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, 'This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me.' In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, 'This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.'"
(The Gospel of John does not mention the Last Supper.)
Overly-literal interpretations of these passages led to the Catholic doctrine of Transubstantiation - the idea that when the sacramental wafer and wine are consumed at Mass, they literally become the flesh and blood of Christ.
Other than this, there's no mention of cannibalism in the Bible, unless you choose to interpret the passages regarding pork as applying also to "long pig"...
