Good workout plan for me?
I need a good workout routine suggested. I am not asking for the food part. I just need to know exactly what to do to achieve some bodybuilding (not extremely massive) results, month-or-year wise. Since I also have Joubert Syndrome and have some motor skill issues, I would like advice on that also.
Oh, and I think I weigh in the low 100s... I don't know what that is for a 17 year old.
I like using bands rather than weights. They are small and you can take them anywhere and you can use them on any muscles. It's hard to tell you what to do if I don't know your physical limitations. Also I highly recommend Pilates for your core, which is most important in my opinion. If you do that, you need to find an instructor ( or a class with a good instructor, preferably one who was a dancer) to get you started so you don't hurt yourself. It's very technical so you can't learn it from a tape. Once you get the hang of it you get really strong really fast.
I would suggest finding a personal trainer and tell them what you want to do and they can guide you, or find someone who already works out to guide you. You don't have to do that forever, just until you get your routine down. I would suggest that if you are just starting out.
Good Luck! Once you start you'll feel great!

If your looking for a good balance between strength and tone, do your work outs per muscle or per variety at 3 sets, 12 reps. I've been doing this for the past year and three months, I have a bowflex and it's a three days per week work out plan - ie. chest and shoulders one day, arms and lats another day, legs and abs another (so yes, each group targeted once per week); its held up pretty well though I do admit, its better to shock your muscles once in a while such doing 5 sets occasionally in repetition form of 12, 10 heavier, 8 heavier yet, 6 at highest, and then 20 at a lower weight than the 12; occasionally your muscles will build resilience to your routine and you'll want to jar them - if that is you're willing to put that much paper and pen into the record keeping
.
