Guys, I need help. I can't stop clearing my throat. So far, I've been doing it every three seconds. I am aware that if I don't stop, then my voice will start to go, but I just can't help it. My mom is starting to become slightly worried about it as well. But I want to stop, but I can't. I have tried hard candies, but they don't always help. Guys, help me please! :x :(

I actually had this same problem for a short time in college, and it was pretty easy to stop, so don't worry too much about it. That probably just makes it worse anyway. What you need to do is develop a little concentration. Breathe in and out through your nose and just learn to follow the breath. When you feel that urge to clear your throat, just do this breathing thing.
Your mind is probably jumping around, and your brain is just doing this throat clearing thing as a subconcious reflex. You can't ever get it completely "clear" like your mind wants, so you just have to teach your brain to be ok with the way it feels. If you can keep yourself from doing it for just a little while then it will get easier.

Thanks for your suggestion. By the way, you are definitely right about my mind jumping around. It tends to do that when I get excited about something. For example, a couple of friends and I just won a Walking Contest at college, and I do know that one of the prizes is a cash prize, and I'm anxious to find out how much money we will win.

Could be allergies causing it (sinus)... I have problems with being sensitive to fragrance...and I will do this whenever I'm around someone wearing a certain perfume or clothes washed in alot of fabric softner etc. Feels like something is stuck in my throat.

I used to think I did this just because I can be uncomfortable around people LOL...I'm still uncomfortable around people  ...but I clear my throat only when they're also wearing perfume.
