Adult Issues Forum Titles

Maybe I am a prude. Maybe I just don't like to read stuff that is way too graphic for my taste. Maybe I keep thinking ' some kid can read this too'. (and no I am not on the 'oh, the children, lets all protect the children for any and all things harmful, too adult, or intellectual" bandwagon.)

It does offend me that some of the titles people use in the Adult Issues Forum are seen in the WP index. They need to be toned down, changed by the moderators, bleeped or put a security lock on them.

Am I the only one here that is offended? by this public display of explicit titles?

I am unclear what you mean by "are seen in the WP index".

Titles of threads in the age restricted "Adult" forum and the "Members Only" forum do not go anywhere else.

Occasionally, a thread is created in another (inappropriate) forum, and due to its content being "marginal", it gets moved to the adult area. The title may then stay on the front page, until it is forced off that page. Is this what you are referring to?

yes, I was unclear on that one - when I click "View posts since last visit" all the titles of all the forums are shown.

I'm 14 and it doesn't show the topic titles from the adult forum when I search for new posts. So don't worry, kids can't see them. :)

gina-ghettoprincess --- Thank you - glad to hear that. I think I worry about children growing up too fast in our society. It never fails to surprise me how diverse and articulate and knowlegable children really are. I don't think we were like that in the 50's.

As for me I just won't worry about it any more.

PPR threads also do not show in the "Recent Threads" column on the home page.

Click on Discussion -- on the right side just above the blue box (strip?) you will see:
"view posts since last visit"
"view your posts"

Very handy----
