Advice needed please.

My son 14 Asp/Adhd who's currently taking Concerta, it's not working, he needs meds for anxiety.
I'm looking for some feedback from teens/parents on how they have reacted using alcholol, cannabis, what I am hoping to do is use some of the feeback to be able to relate back to my son. Talking to him isn't working so any feeback I get will be much appreciated. I'm thinking if I put it down onto paper for him he may undertstand better, when I try to discuss such matters with him he gets extremely angry etc.

before anxiety meds, hubby went through periods in his life when he did quite alot of drugs, and drank. at the time, it was his only way of coping with the tremendouse amounts of overstimulation and anxiety. he would also get severe migraines a few times a week. now that he is taking the anxiety meds, his migraines have ceased altogether. he still enjoys a beer occasionally, but all in all we don't drink much ( both of us grew up in alcoholic homes)

I only drink occasionally, my sons father was an alcoholic who also used cannabis, then heroin.
I left him when my son was only a few weeks old. I'm not saying I can predict the future but I do know the path my son is going to go down unless he gets proper support etc.
