don't be ashamed
I am not angry, I'm just not impressed. This "free will" concept is an excuse for God to hide behind when people do awful things to each other. What sort of person/deity/creature/etc creates a planet, creates people, and then sets them off to attack each other physically/verbally/psychologically and then hides behind a "free will" excuse? Mark me down as someone completely unimpressed with that behavior. If this deity wanted me to worship them, they'd need to do a much better job of managing their creations.

Here we come back to the "Problem of Evil". I'm STILL waiting for a christian who has an answer to that one!!

God created us in his image giving us free will and created the earth for us to live in.
God gave us dominion over the earth and everything on it.
God wanted us to choose to love him and trust and obey his rules which are for our own good. But we went astray and turned everyone to our own ways.
God won't force us to do the right thing. God is love and he wants us to love each other. But we don't and this leads to allot of suffering. We made the world this way.
God sent his son Jesus to earth where he suffered and died. All the apostles and saints lived lives full of incredible suffering. Suffering is part of the fallen creation we live in. .
The Lord's Prayer says, Thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven. So God's will is not automatically done on Earth like it is in Heaven. The apostles asked Jesus how we should pray and this is what he told them. We have to pray for God's will to be done on Earth.
There is a story in the Bible about Joseph who was sold into slavery by his own brothers because they were jealous of him.
But God turned it around for him and brought good out of that situation. And in the end his brothers ask him for forgiveness and he says "As for you, you thought evil against me, but God meant it for good.

It are a fact
I know because of my learnings.
Evil is not a "thing", it's a lack of good like dark is a lack of light. A lack of good or god on our level can cause a system (such as a life) to end or be disrupted. That isn't to say that people who suffer actually deserve to, it just means that some imperfection of our world has disrupted them. Just because this level of reality seems imperfect it doesn't mean the entire system and its creator are flawed. It's a scientific rule that no energy is created or destroyed, just transformed, transferred etc. Subsystems sometime end and this may include us or even the world we dwell in. This is when darkness or evil appears. On some higher level the energy composing our reality will continue in one form or another.
To claim that god is somehow erronius or incompetent demonstrates an inability to comprehend multidimensionality. Ofcourse what we call god may actually be the sum total of all the systems and realities that have, do and could exist and so any debate on the actual existence of god would just be semantics. Still, a claim that god is incompetent or imperfect should be followed through to conclusion: He obviously isn't god and therefore you were mistaken to percieve him as such.

So if we're all dumb, then god is dumb and maybee a little bit ugly on the side!
Free will is a myth de-bunked by pschologists. Think about it, do you have Aspergers simply because you lack the free will to NOT have it??
Somebody forgot to tell large predators, violent storms, floods and earthquakes this!!
"Thou shall have no other gods before me" has lead to the murder of millions!! How is this for our own good?
We act the way we do because of inate nature. The world made us this way. NOT the reverse.
This guilt trip is one of the cornerstones of the "good cop" "bad cop" psycology of salvation. It's humanities biggest lie.
One of "god's wills" is to butcher the enimies of Israel. Are you advocating genocide??
But God turned it around for him and brought good out of that situation. And in the end his brothers ask him for forgiveness and he says "As for you, you thought evil against me, but God meant it for good.
I don't believe in "free" forgiveness. If Joseph's brothers proved through their actions that they were truly sorry (willing to make some kind of reparations) I might see forgiving them.

Speak for yourself. I didn't make the world this way. If God wants to blame me for the actions of those before me, then I am still as unimpressed as I was before. I don't blame others for the actions of those who came before them and I would expect the same respect and treatment from every other person/entity in the universe.
