Who are the moderators and why do posts get 'locked'?

I can't recall seeing you being attacked, so we may be talking about different threads. I don't know why you felt the need for a thread to be locked (people here call me all sorts of things and I don't feel the need to go running to the mods to stop them), but I have noticed threads are appearing to be locked for no good reason. I looked in to PPR before posting this, and yet another is locked with no explanation.

I have not noticed any recently, but you might consider asking a mod why a thread has been locked.

. Ascan wishes to badger a member into some sort of altercation. The member initially resists and then realizes that Ascan was not interested in discussion of the topic, but of provoking and harassing another member. If this thread were locked, then the conversation here would stop,
People that post in the PP&R usually get the same as people that post anywhere else on WP. It is no different from any other discussion area. No explanation is usually given
because everyone that posts in WrongPlanet.net is expected to have read the rules that state:

and that is the reason. Perhaps ascan might think it is no 'good' reason, but we will just have to differ on what constitutes a 'good' reason.
