Well, I am a little sad because I might not be able to go to a water park tomorrow. :(

She's 11... Asking her that makes you sound like a creep!! !

LoveMyAspieGirl: Sorry you can't go to the water park :( . But trust me, for at least your first few cycles you'll want to avoid swimming during your period b/c its not usually advisable to start using tampons right away. You can still take a bath or a shower though :D

I'm sure Valoyossa just didn't notice her age.

I wouldn't advise taking a bath though - that can be really icky. But you'll want to shower everyday or else you'll start to smell.

The exact same thing happened to me right before my 11th birthday. It was my second period ever and it the night before my school class was going to a water park I had always wanted to go to. From my experience, I would suggest you skip the water park, unless there are other rides you can go on or other things to do there.

Also, the water deepness is less than a half-foot deep.

well there's also cramps which are really annoying. pamprin or midol are your best friends.

what sort of water park is this?

I'm guessing this is your first since you're 11 (that's when mine started). I have a couple tips.

-Midol is just advil and caffeine, so if you don't have any on hand drink something with caffeine and it will have the same effect.
-Bananas can help ease period pains
-Get a heating pad, they can really help with cramps (sometimes you don't get cramps the first few times though, which is good)
-If you want to take baths instead of showers, just use bubbles. You may not bleed enough for there to be noticeable blood in the bathwater, but bubbles would cover it up.

I didn't notice the age. Because for me period isn't a tragedy.

Period is no reason to cry, use a tampon and have fun. I use and any period doesn't destroy my plans. Tampons don't bite :D

Tampons are scary for an 11 year old though.

And they take a lot of practice to use. When I was at school it was a huge inconvenience, and I can understand why shes upset. You could try tampons and see how you go, but don't feel bad if you cant use them straight away . :)

They actually aren't 5 inches deep, it is 3 feet deep. Thanks for the tips astaut. Also, the period hasn't come on for a day now, unless that is just my pattern.
