Where are such comments supposed to be placed? I've posted here without violating the rules, and my threads are removed without explanation. Similar discussions in the past week have also disappeared. Requests for explanation through private requests have been ignored. I've kept a log of my posts and private messages, and would appreciate an answer.

I think you know the answer to that Makuranososhi and I think there is little point of pressing the issue. I doubt Wrong Planet is different from most internet sites in that regard, at least I never heard of one that would allow members to criticize its administrators or moderators.

If Alex wanted advice on how this site could be improved he would ask for it; since he apparently doesn't I see no point in offering it anyway. I have seen some of the removed threads you referred to and I gather you are not alone in your concerns. I am afraid the only solution to the problem though is to consider setting up an alternative site that would address those concerns. Discussing that possibility here might not be allowed (and could get you banned) but we don't know that. We don't even know that if the idea did attract support, it might even motivate Alex to listen.

There is a point - accountability. If Alex seeks to utilize WP, and by proxy myself and every member here, to his benefit, then I expect a degree of accountability and consistency. However, that is lacking. Rules are now enforced erratically, posts which do not violate any site rules are being removed... and yes, in the past criticisms of the moderation team have happened. Some had productive results; others were opportunities for witch hunts led by those who should know better. I've asked repeatedly where such discussion should occur; as a moderator, I spoke in private without result. As my questions go unanswered and remain without warning, then there is no reason to believe that continuing to seek answers is an issue unless Alex refuses to accept critical feedback - which he requested - or in another example, after asking that moderator and member concerns be consolidated into a single list then refused to follow through on the process he committed to. If Alex bans me, it will not have been for violating the rules... after over a year of enforcing them to what specifications he provided, I am exceedingly aware and avoid those issues. My question stands - where do questions and concerns go, Alex? As for another site and resource, it is a valid suggestion. However, I respect the members of the WP community and what has been created here, even if that respect does not extend to its' founder.

The problem is that Alex in not accountable to the membership. You may think he should be if the popularity of Wrong planet gives him some notoriety and access to conventional media, and the benefits might increase if he was, but nothing requires him to be.

This site has grown too big to be run by one person, particularly one so young, and suffers for it; it falls way short of its promise as a true autism support site but I don't know of a better one or I wouldn't be here. Part of the reason for Wrong Planets popularity, and Alex's claim to fame, is that it is mostly a play site, therefore turning it into a true support site might not be in his interests.

When you speak of the Wrong Planet community, are you speaking of all of us or just those who are looking for what this site is purported to be? If it is the later, wouldn't it be better to separate that part of it from those who are simply playing with their high-tech toys? If the discussion was started here, and identifying those who would be interested, Alex might even sign on making a new site unnecessary. If nothing else, it would be a more effective strategy than public complaining.
