Time Limit on Post Editing

I've tried to edit a post I've made a little less than 2 weeks ago (posted July 8th) and couldn't do it. I don't see why a limit on the time one has to edit their posts has to be imposed. Even if you need a limit for some reason, two weeks seems reasonable to me. Enough to have time to find and edit out a careless, embarassing mistake.

The time limit, from memory, is 9999 minutes. In other words, after about a week, you can't edit your posts any more.

One week seems reasonable to me. Plenty of time to proofread your post.

I dunno, it's just that sometimes I post something very spontaneously. Much later on, I realize that I don't want it up there anymore. I guess that's the problem with the Internet - often, once you wrote something and it's there, it will stay there and you can do nothing about it.

I'd be happy to edit or remove anything that you don't desire to be on the forums anymore. Just PM me about it when you do.
