Amazing story, I grew up at the same time (2 years younger than Grandin). My older brother was "afflicted" with ADHD which had no other diagnosis but "bad kid" back then. I became the quiet, dreamy (often sleepy) non-diagnosed ADD girl in my teens. My sister was the only "normie" in our "Father Knows Best" family (i was the rotten little kitten), but I was me, myself and I who took care of my mother for 25 years after my dad died. Life has presented "interesting challenges" for me, but the only thing I will never change is being the best ME I can be. I know it sounds corny, but it works for me. Zig
