GYNs know about the change. It happened last year. You should have a talk with your GYN about it after doing some research yourself.

FTR, breast exam recommendations were changed at the same time.

I never had pap smears and I'm over the age of 25. I have a condition where touching down there and having sex would make me so uncomfortable and crying in pain. Other women with this condition I have have told me the same thing. Some say even the baby spec that the doctors use are just as painful.

I've had it done 2 or 3 times. They put this thing inside you to keep your vagina open and they take out some mucus and put it in a tube or something. I don't remember what else they do because I can't even see what they are doing down there.

 :x The ER doctor tried to do a pap smear a long time ago when I had this bladder disease. But I didn't know what it was at that time. He couldn't even put anything down there. Just touching down there is way too painful.
