I guess I'm fairly non-conformist. I do wear make up but then that's because I'm pretty insecure about my looks... on the other hand, I don't shave my armpits and I'm quite happy to go out in sleeveless tops where I know people will see this. I'm completely and utterly disinterested in fashion and only go clothes shopping when I absolutely have to. I also have no desire to gossip or watch the latest film/TV series/etc. So I'm perhaps a little non-conformist.

i guess i am the opposite, in terms of the fact that i have to shave my body hair because it feels uncomfortably heat-and-moisture-trapping. at the ymca, the other people in the shower would look askance at me because of that.

I used to shave my armpits but I found that it really irritated the skin. growing the hair started out as an experiment as I want to see just how bushy it would go (the answer; more tufty than bushy, disappointingly enough). Now I'm just happy to have one less thing to bother about when I shower. But I understand what you mean about the heat and moisture thing.

I rarely use makeup or shave my legs.

I never understood the point in conformity. Isn't it boring to pretend to be someone else?
I do what I want to do and I think what I want to think.
I don't see the point in going out of my way to copy everyone else.

I just do the things I like and what suits me. Some of it might be considered as conform, some not, but I don't think about it anyway. As long as I do not bullsh*t myself or others, everything is fine. :)

I don't set out to be, it's just that the opinions of others/what society says is good are totally irrelevant to my personality/interests/activities.
This may lead to the appearance of deliberate nonconformance, but it isn't.

Sometimes I conform and sometimes I don't.

I'm a non conformist. I listen to oldies and I wear vintage clothes. I dress in a unisex manner. Today's clothes are either too feminine or masculine for me. I like to find a middle ground. I also like to have a middle ground for my hair, as well. I don't want my hair long and done up, nor do I want a strange men's cut that's half shaved or spiked up. I guess this would be my middle ground, for everything. I love being asked what my gender is. If I want to look like a male celebrity of the 60s, I can. Just to show you what my middle ground is:

I'm glad that I put that effort into changing last summer. :)

Not really. I don't think I'm interested in what most people are interested in and IDGAF about mainstream media, for the most part, but it's not like I'm refusing to conform.

I find it comforting to confrom in some ways, I probably seem like more of anon-conformist than I actually am. I get called *unique* a lot, lol o_O

This, exactly. I think sometimes people might expect me to be cocky or rebellious because I seem a little bit different and disinterested in many things but I'm really not lol. I willingly conform in some ways.
