My name is Laura and my 15 year old son has Aspergers. We were fortunate and Brian was diagnosed at the age of 4, he is now in grade 10 with support when needed and life is relatively normal. Brian has experienced, as have we, all the normal ups and downs and continues to have his ups and down. I also have a 22 year old son so we've done the teenage years once already. I would describe Brian as a regular teenager just extreme....he is extreme in every area, good and bad.
I am concerned how he himself is handling things emotionally. Brian is a typical teenager that holds things in when it comes to what is bothering him and what he thinks...unless discussing video games 
We have had some issues lately and I find as he gets older he holds in more. Brian has a good network of friends at school but doesn't outside of school so he spends a lot of time on line and also playing video games. I was hoping that on this site he's have an opportunity to chat with kids his age...so far I have not seen a section or area for teenagers? Could someone advise me as to where to direct him to get his interest?
I have only recently discovered this site and so far think it's great and will be a great addition to our lives. I am new to postings and blogs and all that stuff so I can only hope and assume that this is read and in the right section...Thanks for any advise or questions you have, Laura
