Hi everyone! My name is Magenta and I am a 19-year-old New Jerseyan attending college in Massachusetts. I am an art history major, but I have no idea what I want to do with my degree. I was diagnosed with Asperger's when I was 12, and it didn't really bother me until I got to college. In high school I was just the quiet smart one everyone ignored, and I was fine with that, but in college, I found that even though I wanted to make friends, I couldn't, and as a result I felt very isolated and alone for a while. I cried a lot about this until I discovered this forum; when I did discover it, I was so happy, I cannot even begin to tell you. Now I don't feel so isolated and alone anymore.
So, yes. I guess my main problems with Asperger's are with social skills/friendships/relationships (I've never had a significant other, and this fact saddens me sometimes) and sometimes school assignments are a pain also; I know math and the sciences are very hard for me. As for more about me, I'm into art, movies, music (I have weird tastes), and a lot of other things, like manga/anime, Homestar Runner, and French culture. I'm also very fond of nachos and pizza.
And that's pretty much it. I would post more but I am getting rather sleepy. See you in the forums!
