Problem with email notification?

I noticed yesterday that I was no longer receiving email notifications of private messages or topic replies. I had not changed anything in my account settings.

Today when the problem was still occurring, I changed my email address to see if that was the problem. Still no notifications. I checked and the settings where right about wanting to receive email notifications.

Just wondering if there is a problem on WP's end or it might be on my end.

Have you checked your spam folder? Mine seem to be working fine.

If you are only following one or two topics there is always the chance that someone has posted and then deleted their post. When someone does that it sometimes unsubscribes everyone from that topic.

Mine's not working anymore either. It's not in my spam filter either.

Try adding "alex@wrongplanet.net" on your contact list in order for you to receive notifications, it's the only workaround to the solution at the moment.

Which contact list would that be?

That is the email address where the notifications are.
On hotmail/yahoo email address... what I meant is try adding it to the safe list.

(Not too sure how to do it though, I've never really enabled the email notification on many threads tbh).

Thank you for the tip. Already have that email address on the safe senders list on my email client.

Even if it wasn't on the safe senders list, it wouldn't explain why notifications where working until a couple of days ago and then all of the sudden they are not.

Oh well, I have found other methods to keep watch on topics that I'm really interested in. Thank you everyone for your help

been happening for about the last day or so.

i can't work like this, its become impossible to keep track of posts i hope are approaching (or surpassing) overshare, or border in the ridiculous

sometimes i am automatically logged out, and during that time i get no email notifications.

maybe you are logged out.

nah i am always logged in, lastpass makes sure of it

Same problem here. It happens every so often.
