No i am not trying to start an argument or anything!

Although the Nes had the most third party support. It didn't stop the sms having it's fair share of exclusive titles such as Alex kidd sonic ect. . . . But as for machine specifications

The NES had a limited colour pallette compared to the SMS
And as for sound The NES was superior because it had an ACPCM 1-bit
sound channel unlike the SMS in order to play a sound the game would pause for a brief period when the sound is played. On the nes you could use the ACPCM channel as a drum track.

durability: SMS get's the title here!
(Have you ever dropped an NES and expect it to work not only that constantly blowing into the cartridges and the mechinism inside the nes would wear quickly mine did anyway.
I dropped my SMS (sega master system 1) countless times it still worked

The winner is I think there as good as each other.

And i am not inculding the japaniese NTSC SMS which utlized an fm chip some games utilized it some didn't
