I actually liked it better last semester
Anyone else have an experience like this in school? I explain after I tell the story.
I am more of an "arts" person and prefer English over the sciences. Last semester, I had math, science and media arts (photography and video) and this semester I have English, social studies and something called "planning" which is a course where you think about your future. I thought last semester would be really tough and this semester would be really easy, I also was going to have my favourite teacher for English. However, that teacher went on a personal leave. Last semester, I had math first. The math class I was in was very interactive and quite fun, to be honest. It would energize me. Perfect for the next block, which was a homework block. (I don't have a choice, I have take it) I did the homework block by myself, and to do things when in classes where I am alone, I need to be energized. So I actually did well in the homework block. (I also had an adult helping me who would make fun of how hard some of the words were to prounounce in the science book). The next block was lunch. My energy level was medium by this block. After lunch, I had media arts, which I didn't need too much energy to do because I liked it so much. After that, I had science, which I was energized for because of media arts.
Also, last semester, my favourite teacher, went on leave. I had no idea when he was coming back, but I wanted him to. I would see the sub in the hall a lot. I started a game where I'd try to avoid seeing the sub because if I did, that would imply that that my favourite teacher probably wasn't back. I was hoping for the day when I didn't have to worry about this. However, when the day came that the sub was confirmed to stay, I didn't like it. Not because the teacher wasn't back, well that too actually, but the real reason is because it's no fun not being able to play the game. In retrospect, it was actually kind of fun.
Anyone have an experience like this at school/college where you thought you would like a teacher/course/semester/student better than another and it ended up liking the one you thought you wouldn't like as much?

I was terrified of taking statistics because I was horrible at math in high school and I have NVLD. My stats classes were actually some of the best courses I've taken in uni .
I also started off as an English Lit major as I've always had an affinity for language. I hated it and ended up liking biological psychology and doing a lot better in it (as I was much more interested in the topic) even though I was never a science/math person............I was always an English/history student.
The one algebra class I've taken and enjoyed was my Algebra 2 class, which I took during my junior year in high school. The teacher was cool, and the class was interactive. Even though I really had to work hard to pass, I still enjoyed my experience in that class.
