It says I am offline in my account so I dont know if its just broken or what.

Same here, but it still updates to show the last time people were online (well, when they last signed in) on their profiles, so perhaps the feature isn't completely broken.

Small inconvenience, nothing worth crying about.

Why do you think I wasn't being genuine? I wish everyone had their own space here.

Why did you edit it out in such a hurry? And I'd like to know how many others would find a comment like that genuine!
I came here for support this evening - I got this instead

For what it's worth, I also read it [past tense of "read"] as a sarcastic comment. (I also saw it before it was deleted.) I'm not saying that either of us was right to read it that way, only that that's how I read it [past tense], and still read it [present tense], although I'm willing to believe the apparent sarcasm was unintended, if Moog says so.

Also for what it's worth, I completely misread your OP. I read it in the same way as TallyMan and Moog read it. I was surprised when your followup post revealed that it had been intended as an emotional communication. My guess is that this wasn't just me (or TallyMan, or Moog), but that the emotion you felt wasn't clearly expressed in the words you posted.

P.S. (Sorry, I thought I had read the whole thread before adding my 2p worth, but in fact I had missed more than a whole page of posts.) Like others (i.e. at least some others), when I first read the OP, I thought you were being humorous. I know now that you weren't, of course, but that was what I thought at the time.

P.P.S. I hope your feelings are soothed.

WP isn't an effusively cuddly place, but there is a gentleness and sincerity here which I deeply appreciate. I'm only a newbie, but I think I'm past the honeymoon phase, and I still feel it. There is a calm sense of reality here.

The number of real people on WP is evidently >> 0!

I'm glad you are feeling more upbeat today sowlowsolo :) Sometimes we end up with everyone talking at crossed purposes on WP. Please accept my apologies for causing you aggravation yesterday by moving your thread.

Regarding why it is showing zero my guess is that Alex (the site owner) has temporarily disabled some of the none-essential functionality of the site to help speed it up.

i was wondering why the counter wasn't working either, i thought by leaving on jetfox that i broke the site.

I thought no-one was online, then got confused because I was. I concluded it must be broken.
