New York State Legalizes Same-Sex Marriage

In a 33-29 vote, the senate of the state of New York has voted to legalize same-sex marriage. Upon Gov. Cuomo's signature, the bill will go into effect in 30 days.

heard about this days ago but it's only starting to filter into our (australian) newspapers now(well yesterday actually). hopefully this will set precedent and put pressure on other states to change their laws on non male/female marriage. i love that one of our papers described stonewall as a "gay-friendly" bar. :lol:
