I can't make my photo's small enough size for a profile pic

the limit is 130 times 160 and 16 KB

I've tried time and time again to make pictures small enough for a profile pictuure and it doesn't work :(

please HELP????! !! !????

What format are you using to save the re-sized picture? As I recall, some formats will still have a too-large file size. So, I believe either .jpg or .png might be best.

I think even .png is too large, you'd want to go for .jpg

Actually .gif gives the smallest file size but you lose some picture quality. Sometimes I save it as .gif when .jpeg is still too big.

And the limit is actually 15.9kb, it's just rounded up to 16kb.

One of the things I don't like about WP is the size limits for avatars, at least 25kb would be good.
There is a website that can do that for you here.
