Does anyone else find it really annoying that there's no obvious visual differentiation of hyperlinks in forum posts other than a different mouse pointer when hovering over it?

For example, this sentence doesn't look like a hyperlink, but it is.

Edit: It looks like the font size for hyperlinks is very slightly smaller. I'd much prefer a different color and/or for them to be underlined. The font size change is not obvious at all.

Just annoying, not "really annoying", but, yes, I definitely find it annoying.

It sometimes catches me out too, not realising people have made a hyperlink. Personally when making hyperlinks I try to make them obvious with something like "click here.." or by showing the URL anyway.

we know as a moderator, you need to back the actions and decisions of the admin/owner but I think it should be up to them to make the changes instead of relying on us to do the work. A one-time alteration could fix things on Alex's part.

Yes it could. But your options are to wait for him to do that, or do the best that you can now with what you've got.

Does that mean someone has asked Alex to change this?

It's probably on the list of things to be done with the software changeover. The whole site is in need of some work, and Alex is aware of this.

Glad to hear that.

Get Stylish for Firefox, and add this as a style;

Quote:
@namespace url(http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml);

@-moz-document domain("wrongplanet.net") {
.postlink {
text-decoration: underline !important;
font-weight: bold !important;
}
}

and links will look like This.

I'm going to start bolding my hyperlinks, but it's still very very annoying.
