Today,I went to my old school to see a new friend.Since one of our old teachers had died in a classroom there recently, people were allowed the day off,but some peoplE came anyway.

Anyways, everyone at that school pretty much knows that I love women romantically.SO,I was talking to my new friends, and this boy walked up to me.Now this boy has a grandmother AND a father who has paranoid schizophrenia.

This boy said to me,"Why are you gay?Don't you know that's a sin?"

I said to him,"I don't think it is a sin.Why do YOU think it is a sin?"

He said,"Because it's in the Bible."

"I don't believe in the Bible.If you do,fine.But don't be a f***tard and tell me what's right."

Then this boy BLEW UP.He started to tell me why Chrsitianity is right and why "queerness" is the sin of sins. Then he said IT.He said that "homosexuality is obviously a mental illness".

I stopped him, saying,"Whoa there.Did you just say that homosexuality is a MENTAL ILLNESS?"

"Yes."

"And you believe that it's a sin?"

"Yeaaaaah."

"So then, mental illness is a sin?"

He paused and said,"No."

"But you just said that gays are mentally ill and that they are going to hell. That basically means that you believe that being mentallyill is a sin.Maybe your family is goin to hell, too."

That REALLY shut him up.

Hee hee. ^______^

Do you get what I'm saying here?

Good job.
I really don't get why people think it's a disease or it can be cured.
By now you'd think people would have stopped having these backward views.

I once heard a story about a 20 year old being raped by his 50 year old mother because she thought she could cure his homosexuality.
Now THAT'S disturbing lol.

I used to have this conservative friend who thought homosexuality was wrong.
But they can never seem to give any good arguements.
I also heard things like that were a big issue in America.

Yes, and it's a much bigger issue than it needs to be.

I wanted to bow out of this one politely. However felt the need to share one small frequently overlooked detail. The bible has three negative references to homosexual behaviour. The same bible also has 256 abmonishments directed toward heterosexuality. So if this is how one weights a scale in order to measure something. I can see who would drown via osmosis.

Any way I wouln't use a book to defend any belief pattern I supported. I would just try to point out. It doesn't matter who anyone chooses to love as long as the situation is based around respect and honesty.

I cannot understand either how one minority group can attack another minority group and maintain self respect. Any prejudice allows prejudice to continue. He who has felt prejudice would not want to project this onto another else would they?

Poppies are just flowers too, even the tall ones.
