I am a mother of a 4 year old who has just been diagnosed with AS. I have books and of course all the online information, but I was wondering if anyone knows any good magizines that I can suscrible to and get either monthly, or every other month updates and ideas on helping him. I have seen "Autism Digest" and wondered if anyone has any feed back on it, or if there are better ones out there, or ones that just focus on Aspergers. If any one has any suggustions, please let me know. I am new to all this and want to be as informed as possible.

Thanks

Hi and welcome. :) Sorry, I don't know of any magazines, but maybe other members here will have suggestions for you.

I would say, though, that I reckon this parents' forum is an excellent source of advice, information, tried and tested resources, and support.

I don't subscribe to the Autism Digest but we have a library here the specifically is for info on all types of kids with diabilities and I sometimes request specific articles from this magazine. The library makes copies them and mails them to me. There has been some really good ones. I don't know what a full subscription costs. I get a free online magazine for special needs kids though I must admit I don't often get the chance to read this but you might check it out. http://parentingspecialneeds.org/
I actually have learned the most just from hanging out on this forum! :)
