Hey, you guys! I'm from Massachusetts. Although, I signed up for an account a little while ago, this is my first post, I wasn't sure if I should post or not because I wasn't yet diagnosed and I felt like I would have been trending on someone elses ground, like trespassing in an area that I didn't belong in, which would have made me feel disrespectful .

Ok, well after some months of looking up AS ( I found out about it while doing a project on Autism for school), I felt that this Syndrome sounded a LOT like me, but I found out other people felt the same way, so I wasn't sure. I went to my therapist (Amy) who gave me the name of a woman, who I called and she gave me the name of a Doctor in Boston, MA. I'm assuming that this Doctor is VERY popular, because I made my appointment way back in the beginning of fall of last year, and this is the only time slot they had left at that time. The test took two days to do, I did three hours on the 30th of Jan, and another two hours today, the 1st of feb. It reminded me a lot of the learning disability test I took when I was eight (yes, I also have an LD) expect for the part when the doctor interviewed me, that was different. The test was mentally draining, and both on the 30th and today, I came home and fell asleep for five hours. Anyways, as soon as I finished my test on the last day of testing the Doctor came in the room, sat down and said "I can tell you now, that you definitely do have Asperger Syndrome." So it's official, and the report should be finished by next week, I have to go back in with my mother so that she can explain the report to us, and she's recommending me to a young adult AS group. I think, I might like the group, it'll be the first time I get to hang out with people just like me.

So, that my story. I feel for those of you, who have been fighting for years for a diagnosis. If any of you live in Massachusetts or are able to come to Massachusetts, pm me if you'll like the name of a great doctor, ok?
